Starting this work week off right with one of my favorite tops that can go from work to play – the Express Portofino top. This was one of my favorite style tops when I was working the corporate life because it was easy to transition from work to weekend wear. And, I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing more annoying than buying a piece you can only wear to work or only wear on the weekend. I like to get the most out of my purchases!

This exact top I’ve had since last summer and is still available. Stripes and especially vertical stripes are very on trend this Spring. I personally love both but think vertical stripes are more flattering on all body types. Whereas horizontal stripes can sometimes make someone appear wider, vertical stripes actually make the body appear leaner. The Express Portofino comes in a number of different patterns as well as solid colors. I’m including some of my favorite patterns currently available, including this striped one, in the widgets above and below! I have my eye on this floral patterned one and this super chic black and white print!

This blouse fits true to size and comes in petite and regular sizes (yay!!). It’s $60, which I think is a good price for a nice quality blouse. However, it’s currently on sale for BOGO 50% off. Which means, if you buy two tops, each will be priced about $45, which is a very good deal!

When worn to the office, you can tuck the top into dress pants or a skirt. Feel free to wear it on it’s own if you’re able or layer a blazer over it depending on your dress code. You can also easily wear it with jeans (like I did here), if your dress code is more casual. I like to half-tuck blouses for an extra-chic look (tuck one side in, leave the other untucked). Just make sure you’re tucking in the layer that is closer to your body if you do this!

This top is also perfect for those weekend days when you want to look nicer but still be comfortable. You can throw a jacket or cardigan over it to make it more casual. Or, you can also roll and button the sleeves! Note the buttons halfway up the sleeve that allow you to roll it 😉

And, side note, this jacket as well as this one are both similar to the one I’m wearing but under $70!

Yesterday, my sister and I got mani/pedi’s in preparation for our trip to FL this week! We leave early Friday morning and are SO excited to get out of this cold! Especially since we got literally a foot of snow in the last 5 days. There’s a lot to do before then, and I have some “spring break” prep posts lined up in honor of our “spring break” trip !

I hope you all have a great rest of your day!

xoxo
