Happy Wednesday Everyone!
We’re keeping this one short and sweet today. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I haven’t been feeling the best the last few days. I started getting a headache toward the end of last week. And, deciding not to follow my own advice, I plugged ahead and kept working per usual. In fact, I was working even more than usual because I was starting to see growth in my Pinterest account, which made me want to work harder and take less breaks. This was a huge mistake. I didn’t take enough time away from blue light and started getting out of my normal sleeping routine which caused my headache to peak on Sunday into Monday. I’m feeling much better today, but am going to take things slow to avoid this happening again.
Having a migraine Monday also made me realize that I really have no “back-up” plan for the blog. No, lol, not like a back-up career. But I often write posts 1-2 days before I publish them. I realize now that I need to write 2-3 posts ahead so that in the case I do get a headache on a day I’m supposed to write, I can have a few days of buffer room if you will. So, as much as I don’t like taking time “off” when I feel well, this will be my only post this week. I have ideas prepped for a few weeks out, but I’m going to work on writing posts for next week now so I can get ahead. Makes sense, right? Thanks for bearing with me!
For today’s post, I wanted to talk about this lightweight tunic sweater from Nordstrom that’s currently 40% off and on sale for $24! It comes in 5 colors including a few lighter colors that would be perfect for Spring. And, I love that it has details stitched in so that it’s different from your regular sweater. It also comes down low enough to wear with both jeans and leggings, which makes it easy to dress up or down. This sweater would also be super cute half-tucked into a skirt. It runs true to size, and I’m wearing a XS.
When you’re wearing a sweater with a turtleneck or mock neck like this top has, you can skip the necklace and just accessorize with earrings like I did here. Styled with these Levi’s and low-heeled booties, this is the perfect weekend outfit. Side note on these booties – these are the most worn shoes in my closet. I love the neutral color and the heel is low enough to wear for long periods without being uncomfortable.
I’ll see you all on Monday! In the meantime, don’t forget to check out my Valentine’s posts in case you’re in need of gift ideas or outfit inspiration!
