Happy Wednesday everyone!
How’s the weather in your area? I only ask because it’s snowing as I write this. Yes, snowing! I know it’s April, but Minnesota hasn’t gotten the memo yet. But, no worries, I have a Springy looked lined up for today that also layers well for this super weird transition weather we’re currently getting. And, I’m going to review multiple ways to style it so you can have ideas as we head into Summer!
I picked up this t-shirt dress from Old Navy for our Sanibel Trip in March. It’s the perfect lightweight material, and I love the navy + white stripes! If stripes aren’t your thing, it comes in a number of solid colors as well as other patterns. I’m thinking I’ll pick it up in grey to have another neutral t-shirt dress in my arsenal come Summer. I’m sure no one is surprised that I want a neutral color in addition to the striped version-lol! This dress comes in regular, tall AND petite sizes so there’s literally something for everyone! I’m wearing a SP, and it fits TTS. Lastly, this beauty is currently on sale for only $10.50 at check out! I mean, with a deal that good, how can you not buy it?! 😏
Below, I’m outlining 3 different ways to stye this dress for 3 different occasions! I hope you find this helpful when you’re looking for ways to style it!
For Running Errands:
Running around town or stepping out for a quick cup of coffee? Wearing this dress on it’s own with a cute pair of sneakers like these Keds is an easy, chic look. Never underestimate the power of a t-shirt dress to make you look put-together and feel comfortable at the same time! You could also style this dress with a cute pair of sandals like these ones to dress it up a bit or for when the weather does decide to warm up for good!
For a Afternoon Lunch Date:
Layering this dress under a utility vest like this one is such a classic look. If you don’t have a utility vest in your closet yet, you need one! I may be styling this one a different way on the blog soon because they are so versatile. It’s a piece in your closet you can use to make any old top look completely different. By layering a utility vest over this dress you elevate the look while still keeping it casual enough for an afternoon lunch with the girls or a shopping trip!
For An Afternoon Out:
One of the best things about warmer weather, is spending days exploring local tap rooms and restaurants or heading to a local fair. Eating out on patios and playing yard games is the epitome of Spring & Summer to me! Layering this dress under a jean jacket allows you to easily transition it to early evening or stay warm if you happen to be in the shade. Try tying the jacket around your waist if you get warm! And, using a little backpack like this adorable one, makes packing anything you may need SO easy! It’s essentially a Mary Poppins’ bag. I can fit a bottle of water, my wallet, a brush, makeup etc. in it without it’s losing shape or feeling too heavy!
I hope your week is going well! I decided to skip Monday’s post since things got a little thrown off with my editorial planning last week, Kevin coming home mid-day Friday after being gone for almost 2 weeks and the holiday weekend. Essentially, life happened and I didn’t want to rush through writing this post Monday morning! Thank you all for understanding!!
On Friday, I’m rounding up a ton of a winter sale items that’ll be sure to last you into next year! When I originally thought about writing this post, I thought it would be warmer out but, if you live in the North, you can probably still wear the items I’ll share now! (haha!)
Have a great day everyone!
