Happy Monday Everyone! Is it me, or is November just flying by? I swear it was Halloween yesterday and now it feels like Thanksgiving is tomorrow. Where is time going?! I’d like it if time could slow down through the holidays, but if it wants to go this quickly for the bleak months of January and February, I’m completely fine with that.
Today, we’re going to chat about one of my favorite trends of the fall – chenille. Chenille is a very cozy and soft fabric that’s been popping up all over. It’s just another thing in the long list of 90’s staples making their way back. I’d been wanting a chenille item all fall because if you know me at all, anything soft and cuddly is right up my ally. Chenille is also what I wanted to discuss last Monday, but then our photos turned out super blurry, remember? Well, in the mean time, I had a new chenille sweater arrive that is still in stock in SIX different colors AND on sale (40% off!), so it ended up being perfect timing after all!
This chenille sweater from Express is already a favorite in my closet for a number of reasons. It’s ultra cozy, oversized and the perfect color for the holidays. I’m a huge fan of clothing that can be worn multiple ways, and this sweater can be worn as pictured, off the shoulder or even off one shoulder. If you’re looking to have it worn off the shoulder, I’d suggest sizing up. I got this in a XS (my typical size in regular clothing), and it’s oversized without being boxy but not big enough to wear it off both shoulders. Not only is this sweater a trendy fabric, it also has balloon sleeves, which are also very in this fall! Price wise, this chenille sweater is super affordable and constantly on sale (seriously like every weekend). It’s currently 40% off making it under $50. And with so many colors, there’s something out there to complement any skin tone!
Here are some other Chenille items that I am LOVING right now and secretly hoping Santa brings me (hint hint KEVIN!)
Loft Chenille Cardigan (Petite & Regular Sizes)
Express Chenille Bell Sleeve Sweater (Have this in green!)
Kev & I had such a good weekend! Like I said in Friday’s post, we went out for dinner at a place called Bar La Grassa Friday night with my sister and her husband. Kevin is not a fan of pasta (I know!), but even he liked it which means it’s really good – LOL!
I hope everyone has a great start to their week!
