Happy Thursday friends!

I’m very excited to be partnering again with Walmart to share an affordable spring outfit with you today! This one is full of staples that can be worn so many ways throughout the year! And, everything total is under $55!!

I’m not sure if you gals have checked out your local Walmart lately but if you haven’t, you’ve been missing out! They have some seriously good fashion finds that are reasonably priced and great quality! I absolutely love their Time and Tru line and the new Sophia Jeans by Sofia Vergara! And, they have some seriously cute sandals for spring and summer!

Recently, Walmart launched their “We Dress America” campaign to empower people of any background, in any location to express themselves through fashion they can feel good about, and that doesn’t break the bank. As budget friendly and self-love enthusiasts, I think we all can hop on board with that, right?!

Tee (M – sized up but fits TTS) | Denim (TTS; ankle length – petite friendly) – here in Black, Green, Denim Wash | Shoes (size up .5) | Bag

For today’s post, I went with a look that is both achievable and very affordable. And, of course, a look that is very causal chic! This outfit would be perfect for running errands, lunch with the girls or a day out shopping!

I paired this $7 tee (the one I mentioned yesterday) with a pair of white skinnies to create a monochromatic, spring-ready look! Now, I know what some of you are thinking, “Lauren, there’s no way I can wear white on white without spilling something on it.” First, you’re wrong! If I can do it, you can! It’s really all in the art of covering yourself in napkins, lol!

But second, this monochromatic look can be recreated with all black and still be just as chic! I’ve included links for a similar outfit in different colors above!

I accessorized with these $14 flats that SO many of you have picked up after I shared them on stories the other day. They’re incredibly comfortable and also come in black! They’re perfect for everyday wear and easily transition from the office to the weekend.

I also picked up this $9 tote while at Walmart! It’s the perfect size bag to run errands with! It can easily hold my laptop without being overly bulky. I have the “sand” color, but it comes in a ton of others as well!

All together, you have the perfect spring outfit. If it’s still chilly in your area, you could throw on a jacket like this one and then ditch the jacket in the later Spring months!

And just a word about stocking at Walmart! Be sure to change the zip code to your home & select your size to see if an item is in stock! A lot of times I find my zip code needs to be updated and that changes if an item is in stock or not!

xoxo

**Thank you Walmart for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all items were picked out and purchased by me, and all opinions are my own. You can read more in my disclosures here!**

Best Spring Dresses Under $60 For Any Occassion

Minneapolis Fashion Blogger Lauren Meyer of The Lo Meyer Blog shares 30 spring dresses under $60 for any occasion | Spring Dresses 2018

Okay, I’ll be honest with you all. When I started looking at products for today’s post, I intended to pick out 8-10 good spring dresses under $60. But, there were SO many amazing ones that I couldn’t just leave the rest hangin’!

Spring always makes me feel like breaking out of my shell, maybe applying some self-tanner to my pasty legs and donning an airy dress! And, although my style isn’t overtly feminine, it definitely is more feminine in the Spring and Summer. Pretty sure I’m not the only one who approaches their style like this. When I was at a blogger event last week, I had someone tell me they wear neutrals in the Winter and pastels in the Summer! The seasons will do that to us! So, don’t be afraid to try new styles. We are approaching a new season after all 😉

Lucky for you, I’ve rounded up a TON of amazing spring dresses for under $60! These are styles that you can likely wear for Easter, work, church, on the weekend and into the summer. AKA they are all very versatile pieces! Also of note, a lot of these styles also come in petite in addition to regular (a major win in my book!). I recently picked up this one from Loft and have my eye on this super cute chambray one from Express.

Click on any of the products below to be taken directly to the retailer’s page! Act fast though, some of these styles are on sale and won’t last long!

Have you been checking my Instagram stories for your daily pick-me-up? If not, why not?! There’s no excuse not to! And, if you’re confused on what I’m talking about, be sure to read Monday’s post!

Stop by Friday for a blog post round-up of all of my Sanibel outfits I’ve posted to Instagram! Happy Hump Day Everyone!

xoxo

A Casual Valentine’s Look

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Starting this week out with our last Valentine’s themed post. In addition to a dressier outfit, you all requested a more casual Valentine’s look. Any holiday, but this one especially, is a good reason to dress up a bit more than usual because you’re typically going out with your significant other or friends. Or, maybe you’re staying home but want to look extra good for that special someone 😉. Either way, I’m with you guys as I too like to keep things pretty casual.

Although it doesn’t have the stereotypical pink or red, this outfit is still perfect for the Holiday. The statement sleeves on this top from Nordstrom add a trendy, feminine touch while the black and white stripes give it an overall classic look. This top does also come in pink and white stripes for those looking for that traditional Valentine’s color! It’s priced at $45 and can easily be worn into spring.  It runs a little big so definitely size down one size! The body has an overall oversized fit and is a little cropped. It came down just a little past the waistline of my mid-rise jeans.

In my opinion, pairing this top with white pants is what makes this look so perfect for Valentine’s. It gives it an all-around feminine look that would be perfect to wear throughout the spring as well. I accessorized this outfit with these tassel earrings from SugarFix that I’m already planning on packing on our trip to Florida in March. Side note about tassel earrings. On the surface, these earrings can be very preppy looking, which isn’t my style. However, paired with a more neutral outfit like this one, you can make them look more chic and less preppy. I’m also wearing my new tan booties, which are actually just a tan version of the black booties you see in so many of my photos!

If you’re looking for more Valentine’s inspiration, I wrote a post on dressy Valentine’s outfits here or gift ideas for him or her here. I’ve consolidated all of my Valentine’s posts in a new category at the top of the page for easy navigating!

Also, it’s super fun that I steamed this top before this shoot then it instantly was wrinkled by the wind. Love winter 😒

How was your weekend? This past Saturday, Kev and I went downtown to explore the pre-Super Bowl festivities. They started this past weekend and go until this coming Sunday (the Super Bowl). We had a lot of fun exploring everything although it was SUPER cold and every restaurant was super crowded! Yesterday we went out to lunch and then Kevin proceeded to beat me at Yahtzee 5 times while we watched Netflix lol!

Stay tuned this week for my first instagram roundup and and a post on my fitness tips and tricks!

xoxo
