50+ Affordable Spring Tops

50+ Affordable Spring Tops! Style Blogger Lauren Meyer shares 50+ Affordable Spring Tops

Happy Wednesday peeps!

I have gotten a TON of requests for a roundup of Spring tops and blouses so I’m sharing over 50 with you today!

A few may look familiar from recent try-on’s! And, a few are on their way in the mail because I have no self control, and this spring weather has got me *needing* all of the Spring tops! Did you hear it’s gonna be in the 60’s here today?! BELIEVE IT. Spring is here!

I’ve included a good mix of staple and fun, trendy items below. All are under $100 and most are under $50. The few that are over are definitely staple pieces or more for special occasions!

If you’re looking for staples, I strongly recommend heading to Loft, Shopbop or Nordstrom! All three retailers have great staples at affordable prices (pro-tip: use the filter button to sort items by price so you avoid the super expensive items!). I love Madewell, Free People and BB Dakota for fun Spring pieces I can wear into Summer. This classic Madewell tee was a follower fave last summer and you’ll see it a lot this summer too! I also found the best dupe for it at Walmart!

20 + Ways to Style Faux Leather Leggings

20+ Ways to Style Spanx Faux Leather Leggings Style Blogger Lauren Meyer shares 20+ Ways to Style Spanx Faux Leather Leggings

Happy Snowy Wednesday everyone!

Yesterday on Instagram, I teamed up with some blogger friends to show 15 ways to style the Spanx faux leather leggings on different body types! As you all know, I practically live in my Spanx leggings most days. They’re the perfect comfy chic staple. And, because they are a bit of an investment, we wanted to give you as much inspiration as possible! If you missed it yesterday, you can still find all of my outfits saved to the “Spanx” highlight on my Instagram!

Today, I’m rounding up over 20 outfits you can wear your faux leather leggings with! Everything from super casual to date night ready.

For sizing reference – I wear a S in these leggings. I suggest sizing up one unless you’re looking for a lot of tummy/bum control. They do come in petite here, but I have the regular length. Mine do bunch at the end so if you’re 5’3″ or under you’re good to get petite! And, places like Shopbop have a ton of different styles of Spanx if faux leather isn’t your thing!

Also, if you’re looking for a more budget friendly alternative, I also have this pair. They don’t look as real or have the same level of tummy control but are still a great alternative!

Every outfit is linked below the photo. If an item is sold out, I linked a similar option!

Easy Chic Fall Outfit + Weekend Sales

Happy Friday everyone! We made it *pats self on back* 😋

It has been quite a while since I shared a single outfit post with you all. So long that I can’t even remember when I last did it! Like I mentioned on Wednesday, I got SO many ideas from all of you on Fall content you want to see. Things like boot & jacket round ups, blog posts just on petite clothing, different ways to style staples etc. And, trust me, your girl is working on those! But, I actually pushed a post I had scheduled back after getting this cardigan in the mail yesterday because it’s TOO GOOD not to share immediately. Plus it’s on sale, comes in 4 colors and a multitude of special sizes so I feel obligated to do my due diligence and share it with the masses 😉.

If you were following along last Spring, you may remember my post on an easy chic look for springtime. I posted an all white outfit with one of my favorite lightweight cardigans. Although I’ll never say you can’t wear white after Labor Day (who doesn’t want to be rule breaker?), there’s something about wearing all black in Fall and Winter that just screams chic. And, it’s the easiest combo to recreate from your closet and throw on and go when you’re in a hurry!

Cardigan | Cami | Jeans | Boots (last year – similar; budget friendly version HERE) | Belt | Horn Necklace | Choker Necklace | Lipstick in shade “Firenze”

For this outfit, I paired this super soft camel cardi with a basic cami and my favorite black denim. Like I mentioned, this cardi comes in 4 colors and any of them (including black), would work for this look! But, you could easily pair any other color cardi, jacket or blazer with this base. The beauty of a black on black base is that it works for just about any outfit combo and allows you to create endless outfits.

To break up and elevate the look a bit, I suggest adding a belt. I’m wearing my Gucci dupe (or Fucci as a follower called it 😂) that looks almost identical to the real belt but is only $24 + Prime ship! Let me take a second to say that if you’re in a market for a new belt you NEED this one. The quality is mind blowing for the price! And, I’ve had multiple people reach out not even realizing it was a fake!

In terms of sizing, the cardi comes in regular, petite & plus sizes. It does fit TTS (wearing SP) but is going quickly in this color! It’s currently 30% off making it just under $42. Which is a steal for a sweater from this retailer in my opinion! My cami comes in a ton of colors (I own 4 lol) and also fits TTS. It’s on sale for only $14! And, my denim, only $39, comes with a raw hem, which is perfect for wearing with booties. However, it’s also slim enough to pair with over-the-knee or knee high boots like I did here. It does fit TTS, and I’m wearing the “short” length (comes in short, regular & tall sizes!).

A few things before we part ways for the weekend! There are a couple of big sales to take note of! Loft is currently having 30% off all tops & sweaters! You can find my picks here. And, Express is 30-60% off site-wide. I did a huge try on saved to LIKEtoKNOW.it last weekend and you can find the videos under the “Express” highlight on my Instagram!

And, lastly, I’m heading somewhere fun tomorrow with my best blogger babes! Be sure to follow along on the ‘gram to be part of the fun!

Happy Friday everyone!

How & Where to Shop for Petite Denim

Fashion Blogger Lauren Meyer of the Lo Meyer Blog | Life with Lo discusses How & Where to Shop for Petite Denim Fashion Blogger Lauren Meyer of the Lo Meyer Blog | Life with Lo discusses How & Where to Shop for Petite Denim Fashion Blogger Lauren Meyer of the Lo Meyer Blog | Life with Lo discusses How & Where to Shop for Petite Denim Fashion Blogger Lauren Meyer of the Lo Meyer Blog | Life with Lo discusses How & Where to Shop for Petite Denim

Today, we’re talking about petite denim because, let’s be honest, finding cute petite jeans can be impossible at times. I know you petite ladies hear me! You’ve been on the brink of buying those trendy, chic jeans that look so great on everyone else only to discover they’re 5 inches too long on you *eyeroll*. But for those ladies reading this that can get away with wearing regular length pants, don’t worry! My fave stores for petite sizes also have sizes in regular and sometimes even tall.

Now, before we get to the petite denim deets, let’s all just take a moment to appreciate this outfit. Especially, this amazing chenille sweater. Sure, sure the denim looks great. BUT, when you can just tell the sweater is soft from a picture, can you imagine what it feels like wearing it? It’s like wearing your PJ’s in the real world and having it be acceptable. I’d been eyeing this chenille top for about a month and finally got it on cyber Monday. It comes in multiple colors and, if you remember, I’m still trying to integrate more color into my neutral-saturated winter wardrobe, so I went with green. However, the neutral colors are SO gorgeous. This sweater is currently on sale as well, and you can snag yours for under $50!  It fits TTS (true to size) and is oversized without being boxy. If you size up, you could easily wear this off one shoulder. Note – it is selling out SUPER fast and ran out of 3 colors over the weekend. I’ll link some similar styles below but if you’re looking to buy it don’t hesitate!

Alright, let’s chat about petite denim. If you’re a petite lady in the market to pick up a pair of new jeans there are a few things to keep in mind! Petite ladies are generally defined as being 5’4” or under. This means that your pants should have an inseam of 26”-30” depending on your exact height. For example, I’m 5’2”, and my inseam is typically 28-30” depending on if I want “ankle jeans” or full length. Like I’ve said before, because I’m built like my paternal aunts, I can sometimes get away with having a longer inseam. If you’re not sure what your inseam is, take your favorite pair of jeans that have the perfect length (hopefully you have at least one!) and measure the inseam.

Now, there’s nothing worse than buying a petite pair of jeans and finding that they’re too short. Like embarrassingly short. Been there, suffered through that, and I’m not looking to make anyone else go through it! So, as a petite woman, it’s very important to know your preferred inseam and pay attention to size charts on websites. If you’re shopping in person (do people still do this?), then make sure you’re trying things on. One lesson I’ve learned, NEVER assume because it’s “short” or “petite” it will fit you!

And, one last tip, if you like a pair of jeans that aren’t labeled as petite, don’t let that deter you! The jeans I’m wearing for this outfit aren’t actually “petite”. But, the inseam happens to work for me. So again, be sure you’re always reading the product/size details to ensure you know exactly what you’re getting!

These jeans from Urban Outfitters have been all over the blog, my Instagram, Twitter, Facebook – pretty much everything lately. And they’re not a new purchase. I actually bought them 3 years ago, put them at the back of my jean drawer and rediscovered them when I was sorting through clothes to get ready for the move. I’m not sure why I stopped wearing them because they fit like a dream and don’t stretch out after wearing them. They’re also currently STILL on sale for $39, which is crazy cheap for a good quality pair of jeans!

And, although I have fallen back in love with this pair from Urban Outfitters, I still have my go to stores for petite denim, which I’ve listed below!

Express

Loft

Nordstrom

5 Easy Holiday Outfits for Any Occasion

A few weeks back, I took an Instagram poll of what you all would like to see in terms of content in the future. There was an overwhelming amount of “YAS” for a holiday outfit post similar to the one I did for Thanksgiving! So, without further ado, here are some easy holiday outfits for any occasion this season!

If you’re like me, the holidays with your family are a more laid back affair. Except for occasionally going over to another relative’s house, we typically keep it low key. And that goes for both Kevin’s and my family. But, there are definitely those that go out for various holiday parties throughout the month or even do something more extravagant with their family when they celebrate! So with that in mind, I’ve put together a mix of 5 easy casual and dressy outfits to fit any occasion.

Cami (sold out) – similar | Cardigan (old – VERY similar, similar) | Necklace – similarsimilar | Boots (sold out – similar) | Faux Fur (old – similar) | Bag | Jeans

This outfit would be perfect for a cozy, casual holiday. Essentially the holidays that are typical in my family. This is also a very easy outfit to create because it involves things that most of us already own – a cardigan, jeans and a cami/tank top. This white cami from LOFT has been a staple in my wardrobe for the last two years. I wear it in the summer, on its own, and layer it in colder months under a cardigan like this one. Unfortunately, it’s sold out but this one from Express is very similar and comes in 6 colors!

Would you believe I’ve had the cardigan in this photo since 2012, and it’s from Forever 21?! Not even joking! Proof that they do have quality products! I’ve linked some very similar ones below the photo and in the widget at the bottom of the page because a I believe having a neutral colored, warm cardigan is an essential. It’s perfect for everyday wear. You can easily dress up an outfit like this for a festive occasion by adding heeled boots/booties, faux fur or a layered necklace. Or, if you’re like me, you just throw it all on and call it a day!

Here are 4 other outfit ideas for the holiday season:

For a casual but dressy occasion:

II. Similar to the first, pair a cami with faux leather leggings/jeans and booties like these ones. Adorn with a statement necklace or earrings to elevate your look (head to Sugarfix by BaubleBar at Target for affordable statement pieces). If you’re in a colder climate, bring out your faux fur or a wool coat to keep warm!

III. A wrap top like this one with your favorite pair of jeans. I recently rediscovered my love for BDG jeans from Urban Outfitters, and the ones I have are currently on sale for under $50. I’ve had them for 3 years so I feel that speaks to their quality! They don’t stretch with wear or fade with washing, which are huge to me.

For a dressy occasion:

IV. This dress from Express would be perfect for any holiday occasion. It’s the right color (red) and is one shoulder long-sleeve so great for cooler weather. The lacy material makes it both trendy but also timeless. Pair it with statement earrings and your favorite heels for the perfect look!

V. This dress from Macy’s is long sleeve and would be great for a work holiday party. It’s lacy and mock neck, so very on trend but still very timeless. It’s currently 30% off through 12/11 and still has all sizes in stock so grab yours now!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful week!! I’m currently at home for a few days seeing friends/my parents and getting ready to see KATY PERRY in Milwaukee on Monday. EEEK!!! As you may remember from my birthday post, I am a huge KP fan and am super excited to see her in concert. One of my best friends and I saw her last tour in 2014, and it was incredible. She is an amazing performer and literally goes for 2 hours without stopping. Her love for her fans is so evident too; she invites people on stage and talks to the audience throughout the performance. Can you tell I’m excited? I could gush about her forever. Total girl crush!

I’m currently experiencing some “minor” problems with my laptop that I brought with me. There’s about 4 keys not working (w & s included). I’ve founded a work around by using the keyboard viewer, but typing these last three paragraphs were painful to say the least. Normally I work on our iMac at home so avoid this issue. What I’m really trying to say is that my Monday post may come later next week. I hope you all understand! This keyboard is driving me bananas.

Have a great weekend everyone and be sure to follow me on Instagram to watch my Katy Perry adventures on Monday!!
