Victoria Emerson Black Friday Sale

Popping on quick to share a huge Victoria Emerson Black Friday Sale that just started!! Their entire site is now under $25!!! Most items are usually $40+ so this is definitely a sale to take advantage of!

99.9% of the time, if you see me wearing a bracelet, it’s from Victoria Emerson. I absolutely LOVE their wrap bracelets and cuffs! They’re amazing quality, they have an endless array of styles and they make accessorizing SO so easy. You can achieve that “effortless” layered bracelet look instantly without dealing with a ton of separate bracelets and, honestly, without having to think about what goes with what. They look really cute on their own, but I also love to pair them together so that I always have a unique look!

If you’re in need of a great gift idea for her, definitely recommend picking these up! They’d make great stocking stuffers and affordable gifts for fam + friends.

Oh, and if you’re looking for more styling ideas/bracelets on sale, you can check out my other bracelet round ups here and here!

Victoria Emerson BOGO Free Sale!

Victoria Emerson BOGO free Sale | Style Blogger Lauren Meyer shares Victoria Emerson BOGO free Sale

Hello & Happy Friday friends! It’s a great day because the weekend is HERE and Victoria Emerson is having a buy one get one free sale site-wide!! If you’ve followed me for even a short while you’ve probably figured out two things: I take a lot of mirror selfies, and I’m pretty much always wearing a Victoria Emerson bracelet – haha! They are by far my most worn pieces of jewelry. They make bracelet stacking SO easy, are easy to mix and match for a custom look and look great on their own too. Plus, the sizing on the wrap bracelets is adjustable, which is super nice if you’re a petite gal like me!

If you’re not a bracelet gal, they also sell the cutest necklaces in the shapes of states and zodiac symbols. I would’ve loved to have gotten the state necklace as a present after finding out what college I got accepted to! It looks like a lot of their state necklaces are down to $5.99 right now. Which means you can get two for $5.99 – such a steal!

I’ve rounded up a few of my new fave bracelets that I’ve worn recently below. All are part of the Victoria Emerson BOGO sale! I’m also including a few others in the scroll through widget at the end of the post. If you’ve shopped one of these sales before, you know that things go quickly. So if you’ve had your eye on a bracelet, don’t wait. Most of the bestsellers will be sold out within a day or two!

Here’s proof that I’m actively integrating color into my wardrobe, in case you had any doubts. This oversized Topshop sweater dress from Nordstrom is probably one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while for more than one reason. When I told Kevin that I made a practical yet on trend purchase, I’m not sure if he believed me. But it’s so true! I went all last winter looking for a great sweater dress without any results but think I really hit the jackpot with this one! Not only is this sweater dress an on-trend muted pink color, but it also has a classic silhouette you can wear year after year. If pink isn’t your thing, it comes in a gorgeous grey shade (I did have to talk myself out of getting the grey color – LOL!). The fit on this dress is also perfect for my petite frame. You could easily give a few inches if you’re on the taller end, but it works well for us shorter ladies, which is a huge plus in my book. It’s really difficult to find oversized dresses for my height that don’t swallow me whole!

Although I love the size and color of this dress, its true beauty lies in its versatility. For this outfit, I wanted to dress it up a little bit for an afternoon out. I paired it with one of my favorite boots of the moment and some leopard print accessories. Side note – lately, I have been LOVING leopard print. When I was in elementary school I had this same obsession and had leopard print everything. The fact that leopard print is coming back strong makes my heart and soul happy.  I love adding a splash of pattern and color to my outfits with this print to make any look more unique. This scarf is only $19, and this leopard print watch from Wristology pairs perfectly with it.

But like I said, you can wear this dress so many different ways. Pairing it with heeled boots definitely makes it great for a lunch or date night. However, it’s also so comfy that you could easily pair it with leggings or an oversized cardigan if you’re looking for something more low-key. Also, consider wearing a blouse or turtle neck underneath this for that extra layer once it gets cooler and to keep changing up the style of the dress.

Price wise, I feel this dress is right on point as it comes in at $75. It’s great quality and a thick material; however, if I’m going to spend money on something like a sweater dress in an area of the country where the temperature drops below freezing for months at a time, I’d prefer to be able to layer it to get the most out of the purchase. This dress allows me to do just that; hence, I believe it was a very practical purchase! Hopefully Kevin agrees… 😇

I hope everyone has had a great start to their week! Kevin worked from home yesterday for the first time so that was a little odd having a new coworker (in addition to my two other coworkers, our cats, Frank and George). We tend to be pretty chatty when we’re together so it’s a miracle we were productive at all! We’re looking forward to drinks with a college friend of mine tomorrow night! Do you have anything fun planned this week??

xo,

Lo

The Perfect Neutral Fall Outfit for Any Occasion

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m largely incapable of buying or wearing anything that isn’t a neutral color in fall/winter. I don’t know why, but I used to be this way year-round until I told myself, “enough is enough Lauren, add some color to your wardrobe!” So, I am actually attempting to break that habit and recently bought a few colorful items I plan to share with you all soon. But for now, we can focus on this neutral fall outfit, which incorporates my favorite white skinnies (that are currently on sale for under $40)!

Wearing white pants in the fall and winter is something I’ve always struggled with. It’s not just because of the “no white after Labor Day” rule, but because there seems to be something inherently wrong with wearing white when the night begins at 4:00 PM, and you’re at risk of getting frostbite any time you step outside. Maybe my Southern readers don’t have this mental problem, but it always seems like white is such a bright, summer color that it’s just too cheery for the winter dreariness. I’ve attempted to overcome this mind frame in the last two years, and I’m here to help you do so as well!

An easy way to style white pants in the fall and winter is to keep your look casual by wearing them with an oversized sweater. Any sweater will do, but I prefer to wear a neutral color to create a clean and crisp look. Call it winter camouflage as I just blend in with my snowy surroundings! You can also “live on the edge” and style white pants with a bold rust colored top like I did in this post or take a different approach by wearing a darker top. Pairing white pants with a lacy top like this one would be a very trendy twist on a typical winter outfit.

I recently picked up this sweater from Nordstrom Rack when I was wandering around downtown after lunch with my sister (oops!). I couldn’t pass it up because it’s under $27 and is perfect for fall/winter. The marled grey color goes well with a pair of white pants and tan booties to create that perfect neutral fall outfit. You can also wear it off the shoulder and either way, it’s long enough to be styled with leggings, which makes it easy to dress down. It comes in burgundy if you too want to add some color to your wardrobe!

Now that we’re done unpacking, I’ve been busy cleaning and doing laundry all week since that fell by the wayside the last two weeks. I finally feel like this apartment is our new home just in time for our first visitors this weekend. A good couple friend of ours is visiting on Saturday, and we can’t wait to show them around our new neighborhood! They used to be our neighbors at our old place, and I miss them so much!

Do you have any fun plans this weekend?!

Lo

These days it seems like statement everything is in. From earrings to sleeves to collars, if your look is making a statement of any kind, you’re likely on trend. But how do you make a statement trend your own without going overboard? When Victorian Collars crossed from runway to mainstream this year, I wasn’t sure how to pull it off. It just seemed so high fashion, I figured no ordinary woman would be able to swing it. You know what I mean? But I was wrong! Victorian Collars have evolved into an every-woman trend that incorporates two of my other favorite things – lace and ruffles.

This lightweight sweater from Target’s A New Day collection allows you to achieve that Victorian look while also being a great top for everyday wear. Even better, it comes in at an affordable price being right under $25. It’s available in two colors – pink and grey – and although I opted for the grey top (go figure, I seem incapable of buying anything but neutrals in colder weather) remember that pink is also a trending color this season. Although it may seem to go against nature, you can and should rock the color pink throughout the fall/winter seasons. The material of this top makes it great for our current transition weather and could be paired with cropped jeans, a skirt or with skinnies and booties as I did. Try tucking in the sweater or doing a half-tuck with the front to make any outfit instantly chicer.

Finally, while you’re at Target picking up this top, make sure to check out SugarFix’s line of jewelry. For this outfit, I’m wearing their statement earrings in black, which are a great wardrobe staple for colder weather. SugarFix is owned by Baublebar so has similar styles to Baublebar, but everything is always under $30. I own several other pieces of their jewelry and can attest to their quality (just don’t let your cat get them like Frank did – *eye roll*).

Kev & I spent the weekend visiting with my parents who were in town and went to a local orchard on Sunday. We had no idea how big apple picking was until we moved up here. Did you guys know the Honeycrisp was invented in Minnesota? I’m obsessed with Honeycrisp although could do without the hefty price tag. Kevin calls them the “Cadillac” of apples. LOL. 😂 In other news, we are finally done, DONE with unpacking! I couldn’t be happier because I feel like we’re finally out of the limbo and back to our (new) normal. This week we’re picking up a floor mirror for our master since ours broke in the move, and I may venture to the motherland (AKA Mall of America).

What’s on your plate for the week? I hope you’ve had a happy and productive start to your week!

XO,

Lo
