Simple & Chic New Year’s Eve Outfit

Happy Friday everyone!

Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking of your New Year’s Eve outfit! I can’t believe Christmas is coming up so soon, who’s gonna finish my shopping for me?! 😋

I unintentionally picked up most of this outfit from the same retailer. Which means everything is super budget friendly, AND it makes it easier to shop it all in one place! So, if you’re someone who likes to dress up for New Year’s but still be comfy, this look is for you!

For me, New Year’s Eve is one of the only times of the year (save my birthday), when I will wear sequins and sparkles. Otherwise, my style is a bit more subdued! While looking for a good outfit, I came across this $24 black sequined, velvet skirt! I love this one because the sequins aren’t overly flashy and don’t cover the whole skirt. That way part of the velvet shows through and allows for a mix of texture. This makes it a bit more unique and chic as opposed to a skirt covered in sequins (which makes me think back to my college party days, lol!).

For an easy, chic and warm(er) outfit, I paired this skirt with my go to black turtleneck for layering and my faux fur vest you all have seen a ton of on my Instagram! I’ve included a few similar options in the “shop the post” section at the bottom of this page because both the turtleneck & vest have limited sizes! And, if there was ever a time to wear over the knee boots, it’s on NYE. My boots are currently on sale! I wore them in a snow storm last year, and they held up! So, I can personally attest to their quality in winter weather! I would recommend spraying them with this spray beforehand!

Lastly, if you’re looking for a great bag to see you through from day to night, I cannot recommend this one enough! I picked it up from Shopbop last Spring as a gift to myself, and it’s worth every penny! It also comes in a larger version, which is on my wish list!

For sizing – I’m wearing an XS in the turtleneck, vest and skirt. Everything fits TTS, except I would size up one in the vest if you plan to wear it over sweaters! I find that my size is pretty much the same across this retailer. And, the boots fit TTS and actually stay up on your legs!
