I guess you could say I’m kinda into the snakeskin trend considering how much it’s been on my Instagram in the last week! It is by far the biggest trending print I’m seeing for Fall. It’s everywhere! From shoes, to tops, bags and even hair accessories.
One thing I love about snakeskin v. other animal prints is how neutral it can be. You can easily pair it with almost any color, which makes it more wearable than leopard or zebra print. Meaning, you’re going to get a lot more out of those snakeskin pieces you buy than you may out of other, trendy items!
You’ve all seen this top on my feed and in stories a few times. I can’t tell you how many DMs I’ve gotten about it – definitely a follower fave! So I went on the hunt for more, casual snakeskin pieces to integrate into my Fall wardrobe. As much as I love a super trendy piece, I love a wearable trendy piece even more.
I ended up finding SO many good pieces but narrowed it down to this super soft cardi from Nordstrom (only $42!!). As always, Nordstrom did not disappoint in being my go-to spot for finding on trend items. A simple search of “snakeskin” in clothing, and I had everything from mini skirts to basic tees! They’re truly the best retailer for combining the latest trends with the best basic silhouettes. I’ve included a few more faves in the scroll through widget at the end of the post in case you’re looking for other ways to incorporate snakeskin into your everyday wardrobe! Guaranteed, whatever you’re looking for, Nordstrom probably has it!

The snakeskin print on this cardigan is more understated, which makes it the perfect piece to add to your closet if you’re new to the trend. I also think it makes it more versatile because the print doesn’t take over the sweater. I paired it with this bodysuit that I ended up grabbing in grey too. It’s SO soft & this rust color is perfect for Fall! Plus it’s under $15! This outfit is perfect for a weekend lunch or shopping trip. Or you could swap out the denim/top with a pair of skinny dress pants for work! Both pieces are super versatile for work or weekend wear.
For reference, I’m wearing XS in the cardigan and sized up one in the bodysuit to a S. I typically do this so bodysuits fit more like tank tops and aren’t as skintight. If you’re new to bodysuits, they are life changing!! You never have to worry about tucking anything in, your shirt looking awkwardly bunchy, and they make getting ready so easy!
