Fall Boots: How to Stay on Trend & in Budget

Popular Blogger Lauren Meyer of The Lo Meyer Blog shares Fall Boots: How to Stay on Trend & in Budget

Is it just me, or are boots one of the best parts of Fall? Sure, the beautifully changing leaves, fall scented candles and family holidays are great. But, the shoes. 😋

I have a hard time not spending copious amounts of money on shoes this time of year (sorry Kevin!). Every pair just seems necessary! And, there are so many styles nowadays it’s hard to narrow down exactly which ones you need! But, I’m here to help!

Today, I’ve rounded up a TON of great Fall boots and booties at various price points so there’s something for everyone! Just a warning, from sock booties, to knee highs to over the knee boots – you’re likely not going to leave this post empty handed. 😉

First, let’s talk about some trends to watch for and some good go-to retailers for your next pair of boots! According to the Fashion Bible (AKA Vogue), some key boot trends to watch for this fall are western boots, knee highs (like I’m wearing here), block heels, kitten heels, combat boots, animal prints, and the 80’s vibe (think sock boots with skinny heels). Of all these trends, knee highs, block heels and combat boots are likely to be the longest lasting because they’ve already been around for years. And, they’re simply more practical. As much as I love the leopard bootie trend, it doesn’t go with everything like a good camel colored bootie would. But, don’t get me wrong, I’ll likely be picking these up before the month is over – LOL.

In terms of retailers, I shop at three different retailers depending on how much I’m looking to spend. I typically go to Target if I’m looking to try a trend but stay on a tight budget. For example, I picked up these sock booties (a la the 80’s vibe) from Target a few weeks ago. They’re right over $35 so it’s a good way for me to try the trend without breaking the bank! I typically go to DSW or Nordstrom if I’m looking to spend a bit more on great quality shoes. As I’ve said before, bags and shoes are something I am always willing to spend a bit more on because I expect them to last multiple years.

Below, I’ve broken down my top Fall boot & bootie choices by price – under $50, under $100 & above $100. To see the price for a certain item, simply hover over the image. To shop it, click on the image!
