One of my and Kevin’s favorite things to do on the weekends is to get out and explore our city! If you follow along on stories, this probably isn’t news to you! We’re often out hitting up a new restaurant (or Blue Door Pub for the 800th time haha!), scoping out a new brewery or going to a local festival on the weekends. Saturday “date days” have become a fun tradition for us and, like I’ve mentioned before, is something we do no matter how cold it gets!
This weekend, our date day consisted of painting the front bedroom (perks of being first time homeowners). So we went out for a quick lunch on Sunday instead. I wore this new sherpa lined jacket I picked up recently and, to be honest, didn’t take it off once in the restaurant. It’s so cozy and comfortable, I forgot I was wearing it! I shared it with you girls when I got home, and you all loved it so much I decided to bring it to the blog!

I have a LOT of puffer and wool jackets but really nothing like this jacket from Volcom. It’s sherpa lined only on the body. So, while it’s warmer, it’s not gonna make you sweat when the temps start rising. It’s perfect for those upper 20-50º days that are quickly approaching. Paired with this easy layering tee from Free People, a pair of skinny jeans, and a lightweight beanie/mittens you have the perfect winter outfit that can transition directly into spring.
Also, I have to give a shoutout to these Sorel boots. I actually own them in two colors and they are SUCH a closet staple. If you’ve been around, you know I have a *somewhat* unhealthy addiction to Sorel boots, lol! They’re just so good! Being they were a top seller of 2019, I know they’re a favorite of yours too! These black wedge Sorels, are unlined but waterproof. So they’re not quite as warm as my fur-lined Sorels (AKA great for warmer winter days) but still keep you from slipping on ice/snow + keep your feet dry! They’re the perfect early/late winter closet staple!
The folks at Backcountry have been SO amazing and are giving us all a discount code! First time customers can get 15% off their orders at Backcountry.com with code LOMEYER15 (some exclusions apply!). This month, Backcountry will be donating up to $7k from purchases with my code to their partner, The Nature Conservancy, to support their recovery efforts in Australia. This literally makes me want to cry! The fires were so devastating, and just know that your purchase this month is going to an amazing cause.
ALSO, their Semi-Annual sale is still going on! 50% off Patagonia, Sorel, The North Face + more!! Sharing some of my favorites from their site below!
