Sharing a super easy holiday makeup look on this sunny Friyay! I’ve gotten a lot of requests lately to share some of the makeup I recently picked up. Guess you guys caught on that I have a lot to share after I showed you my new makeup drawer in the office – haha! There’s a lot in there (don’t tell Kevin! lol!). Anyway, I picked up a few new things and wanted to share a quick review of that foundation I was testing out this week as well!

First things first, if you’ve been around for a while, you know I’m very loyal to my foundation. I even wrote my first blog post on it (go gentle on me, it was my first post!). So, I’m always really hard on any other foundation that comes my way. I recently grabbed the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation from Nordstrom because I was desperate to find something to help my dull, winter skin. Don’t get me wrong, I love my old foundation. But, in the depths of winter, it can sometimes look like I stuck my face in chalk because it’s just SO mattifying. Not a cute look. I’ve always heard great things about the Luminous Silk foundation but was hesitant to buy it because of the price tag. I finally bit the bullet, grabbed it and can confidently say I have ZERO regrets.
The Armani Luminous Silk foundation leaves a radiant, natural, medium coverage finish that’s buildable if you want a more full coverage look like I prefer! It doesn’t get cakey throughout the day and lasts a solid 10hours. I used it for the first time on Tuesday and haven’t gone back to my old foundation yet. Safe to say, it’s a keeper and will be my new go to foundation this Winter! I’m wearing shade 5.5 here. And, after I did the math, I realized I actually save money using this foundation! I always mixed an illuminating or highlighting serum into my old foundation to eliminate any cakeyness; so in reality I was always buying a foundation + another product. Now, I only need to buy the foundation. Major win!

Okay, onto the holiday look! I’m sharing a detailed tutorial in stories this afternoon on how I achieve this exact metallic eye look. I used two liquid metallic shadows from Armani Beauty. I used “41 – fusion” in my outer lid and “34 – copper reflection” in my inner corner. Both are super long lasting, and you only use a little so the bottle will last a long time.
Something I love about this holiday look is that it’s super neutral. The copper tones allow you to pair it with a bright red lip for a traditional holiday look for your next party. Or, you can pair it with a more neutral lip, like I did here, for events you have later this winter like a wedding, bachelorette party or just a good old date night! This look is super versatile!
Be sure to check out stories in a few for a full tutorial! Also, if you’re in need of a great gift, check out the rest of Armani Beauty’s products. They have some really good gift sets and perfume that would be a great gift for her! If you don’t find something there, Nordstrom has got you covered! They have an entire gift section on their website broken down by person and by price making it SO easy to find what you need. Plus they have free shipping and returns (even on used beauty products!!).
xoxo
