Feeling like I scored the jackpot with this coat 😏. For the last few years, I’ve been searching for a good quality peacoat that fits properly and is the right price. The one I’ve had since high school (no joke) is bulky and literally hangs on my body. I feel like the coat is wearing me v. me wearing the coat, if you know what I mean. So when I saw that this coat from Nordstrom was on sale for under $38, I knew it was time to purchase!
Like the layering sweater from my last post, a good peacoat should be a staple in any woman’s closet. Or any person’s for that matter. It’s a style that has stood the test of time and can be very versatile. I’ve already worn mine out on a date night with Kev and on an afternoon out exploring breweries around the city. It’s perfect to style with jeans and a tee but can also be worn over a dress like I did here. And, given how cold it’s been in the Cities recently, it’s safe to say this coat can withstand freezing temps! I know this coat will be in my closet for years to come.
This coat comes in a number of different colors and is STILL on sale for under $40. This means certain colors/sizes are going out of stock pretty quickly. So, if you see the size/color you want be sure to hop on it right away! But, don’t worry, if your desired color/size isn’t available, be sure to check back. I did wait a day or two for this exact camel color to get restocked before purchasing!
In terms of fit – I’m normally a SP in jackets and purchased a XS in this coat for the perfect fit. What’s great about this particular coat is that it can work for both petites and those of average height 😍 And, even though it is less expensive than some other similar styles, the quality is very good! It looks and feels like coats that cost 3-4 times as much.
Happy Wednesday everyone! I’ve finished up the site updates! If you head to the About page on my site, you’ll find there’s some new content there. Under that section, I’ve also included an important page dedicated to disclosing my involvement in affiliate marketing programs and how I designate sponsored posts. A question I get A LOT is if I really like a product I review for sponsored content. The answer is and always will be yes! This blog, your trust and my integrity are everything to me. I’d rather not feature a product on my page than risk losing your trust! Plus, before becoming a blogger, I heavily relied on other bloggers’ reviews to dictate my purchases. I simply want to be able to provide this type of help to all of you in the future!
Second, I like to pretend I’m techy but in reality I have an amazing team of people that helps me behind the scenes. It’s come to my attention that clicking items in the “shop the post” widget below can sometimes just lead to Pinterest. How annoying (so sorry)!! This issue has now been fixed so you can click through directly to the product 👍
