I hope you all had a lovely weekend! ICYMI, this past Friday was my birthday! 🎉 I had a blast celebrating with some of my closest friends this weekend and family the weekend prior! But, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for this week. Thanksgiving & Black Friday – probably the best week of the year! 😋

Last week, I had you all send in questions for me via Instagram stories. I’m answering some of the frequent ones here in a Birthday Q&A!
How old are you?
I am 28 years old!
Do you have siblings?
I have one sister, who also lives in the Cities with her hubby & 3 kiddos!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up outside of Madison, WI. My parents still live there.
Where did you go to college?
I went to the University of Wisconsin and majored in English Lit + European Studies.
What’s your favorite type of food?
Definitely Tex Mex – I could eat it every day! Or Amy’s Chili Mac lol!
What’s your favorite type of music?
I love most any type of music, but listen to pop, electronic or indie most often. And, of course, Katy Perry!
When & where did you meet your husband?
Kevin & I met in college at the Mifflin Street Block Party when we were 20 (2011). If you went to UW or know anyone who does, you’ll know what Mifflin is!
“Vivam” – Latin for “I shall live.” You can hear more about this under the “vivam” highlight on my Instagram!
Any plans to buy a house?
Yes! Kevin and I wanted to buy a house before we moved from WI to MN so we’re more than ready! We plan to buy either next year when our lease runs out (late summer 2019) or the following.
Favorite spots to eat in MSP:
If you couldn’t already tell, I love Crave – lol! I go there all the time! They have great cocktails, and we love that they have such a variety of food. Kevin loves pub food so it’s nice that they have that as well as things like pasta & sushi! For breakfast, Bogart’s donuts is amazing and so is French Meadow & Lynhall!
How tall are you? & what size are you for reference?
I’m 5’2″ and typically wear XS reg or SP/ 0/25/0P or short in bottoms.
How big is your closet?
I mean, it doesn’t take up that much space but every inch is crammed full of clothes – LOL. If you’re local, a few of us MN blogger gals are planning a closet sale for December. After that, a lot of it will be going up on Ebay (I promise!)
What’s your favorite store?
If you weren’t a blogger, what would you do?
Before blogging, I worked as an injury adjuster for an insurance company. I would probably still be working in insurance but had always planned to expand into training or management if I stayed!
How long have you been blogging full time?
I’ve been blogging full time for a little over a year.
What’s your biggest advice to get started and be successful?
My biggest advice is to go for it, ignore what other people think and to stay consistent in what you do. There’s a great quote that goes something like, “Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently.” This cannot be more true of blogging! As long as you produce great content, engage/interact with your followers and fellow bloggers and post consistently (blog + to social media), you will succeed. Success is limitless, there is more than enough to go around. But, it doesn’t happen overnight, in a week or even a month. It takes a cumulation of weeks, months and years of small wins to create great success! And, remember, it’s a marathon not a race. So don’t feel like you need or should do all the things, all at once. Take it day by day and pace yourself! You’ll get more done in the end and feel happier/less stressed doing it!
