Hello my loves!
I hope you’re having a wonderful week!
It’s no secret that skincare has become very important to me over the last year. Maybe it’s the existential crisis that comes when you turn thirty, but something clicked with me last summer that I needed to start consistently taking better care of my skin. Like I’ve mentioned before, our skin is our biggest organ. That means we should *really* be thinking about what we put on it. We wouldn’t knowingly ingest toxic chemicals, potentially damaging our internal organs, so why put products with harmful ingredients on our skin?
Enter an array of insanely-priced skincare products, right? Wrong! I’ve been testing out some more affordable skincare brands with quality ingredients to find one that actually works. The Calm + Restore line from Aveeno is far and above my fave! Aveeno has long been a go-to of mine, my sister’s and my mom’s. Back in high school and college I used their foam cleansers exclusively. And, who hasn’t used their daily body lotion? They’re such a staple brand!
Because my skin has aged (haha) since my teen years and is more sensitive, I picked up some products from their Calm + Restore line at Target. I’ve been using their cleanser, Triple Oat Serum, and gel moisturizer and honestly only have amazing things to say. All three contain prebiotic oat, a known antioxidant, which soothes skin and helps nourish the moisture barrier. They’ve been keeping my skin super hydrated in this dry winter weather while getting rid of my dry patches.
All three are free from nasty ingredients like sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances and dyes. AND they’re safe for all skin types plus, given their light consistency, will be great all year round!
I’m sharing how I apply them in stories today and will save it to highlights in case you’re reading this later! Definitely recommend grabbing all three and saying goodbye to your sensitive skin for good!
